By installing or using the BlabbyAI Chrome extension, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the extension.

2. Description of Service

BlabbyAI provides AI-driven speech-to-text transcription and other AI-based features through a Chrome extension. The extension allows users to convert speech to text, create custom modes, and utilize additional functionalities like translation or summarization.

3. Data Handling and Privacy

For detailed information on how BlabbyAI handles data, please refer to our Privacy Policy. BlabbyAI processes transcription with zero data retention (ZDR) and stores user-created modes for user access and management. Certain AI features may involve data retention by third-party models for up to 30 days.

4. Use of Chrome Extension Permissions

  • Storage: To remember user preferences and enhance functionality.
  • Chrome Identity API: For user identification using existing Google accounts, simplifying the user experience.
  • Tabs and Host: To ensure the extension interacts appropriately with web content when converting speech to text.
  • Scripting: BlabbyAI uses scripting permissions to inject the extension into existing tabs, ensuring smooth integration and functionality across different websites.
  • Offscreen: BlabbyAI uses off-screen permissions to capture audio without needing to request microphone access for each website, providing a smoother and more seamless user experience.

5. Credits and Purchases

BlabbyAI offers new users a certain amount of free credits to explore and use the service. For continued use beyond the free credits, users can purchase additional tokens. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

6. Limitations of Liability

  • No Warranty: BlabbyAI is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the extension will be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • Limitation of Damages: To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlabbyAI and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or other damages, arising out of or related to your use of the extension.

7. Modifications to the Service

BlabbyAI reserves the right to modify or discontinue the extension or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the extension after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to BlabbyAI for reasons such as technical issues or violations of these Terms, even though we do not actively monitor user behavior.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes arising under or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delaware.
