Add BlabbyAI from the Chrome Web Store. It works on Outlook web and any other website.
BlabbyAI uses OpenAI's Whisper model for exceptional speech recognition accuracy. Unlike basic voice typing, it understands context and adds punctuation automatically based on your tone and pauses.
Open Outlook and click into the email compose area. A small • dot bubble will appear next to the text field. Hover over it to see the BlabbyAI toolbar.
Click the microphone button or press Ctrl+Space. The toolbar shows a red outline while recording. Speak naturally, press Ctrl+Space again to stop. Your text appears in 200-600ms.

BlabbyAI automatically adds punctuation to your speech, so you never have to go back and fix errors. This saves massive amounts of time because there's nothing to correct.
Hi Sarah, I hope you're doing well. Can we schedule a meeting for Thursday at 3:00 PM?

A phenomenon product to increase your productivity. With another way of Voice typing, you will have to double check or check or supervise before send it. But with BlabbyAI, it trying to understand context that you say. So most of the time the output is correct and you just need to send it
I had been long time waiting for a speech-to-text dictation tool that would free me from Dragon Naturally Speaking with its very high cost and, still, significant limitations. Moreover, a cross-platform tool that would allow me to work on any OS including Linux. It finally came with amazing super-accuracy, even if you dictate specialized scientific or technical text. It has a tool to add your own custom words (really few to add in the biomedical field!). The direct English translation tool yields top quality English and you can enable grammar correction modes. The future of cross-platform speech-to-text dictation has arrived!!!
Incredible!! I use this feature a lot because it's much easier to say than type
This tool is extraordinary. I usually don't spend time writing reviews, but it's such a game changer. I've tried a lot of different tools to do the voice-to-text, but none of those have the simplicity and the level of integration like this one. I'm happily paying for a paid plan. It's been a game changer in the way I do my emails, or write for work, or even journal.
It is the best option for voice typing, as it allows for forming sentences with proper conventions. I would like to see Safari support added. Good job so far!
This plugin is a top-tier tool that shines in both design and functionality. Interface: Simply Stunning The UI/UX is sleek and intuitive, making it a pleasure to use. The design is clearly well-thought-out and user-friendly. Two-Step Processing: A Game Changer Voice Recognition: Precision at Its Best The voice recognition is highly accurate, converting speech to text with impressive precision, even with accents or unclear speech. LLM Processing: Polished Perfection The text undergoes LLM processing, where it CAN be refined like this or translating or whatever you want!!!!:
Comparing email clients? The full breakdown of voice to email software lives on our Gmail dictation page; everything there applies to Outlook too.
The built-in Dictate button behaves differently in each one, which is the usual reason it is missing when you go looking for it. BlabbyAI works the same way in all three, because it types into the field your cursor is in rather than hooking into Outlook.
Dictate sits on the Message tab while you compose. It comes with Microsoft 365, so perpetual builds like Office 2019 and Office 2021 frequently do not have it, and a customised ribbon can hide it. Ctrl+Space works regardless of the build.
A rebuilt app with its own ribbon, so guides written for the classic client often point at a button that is somewhere else. BlabbyAI treats the compose box as an ordinary text field, so nothing changes for you.
Runs in a browser tab, so the BlabbyAI Chrome extension covers it on any machine: a work laptop you cannot install software on, a Mac, or a Chromebook. Same shortcut, no download required.
Dictating on Windows generally? Voice typing software for Windows covers every app, and dictation in Microsoft Teams covers the other Microsoft app people ask about most.
Yes, in most desktop and web versions. Outlook has a Dictate button on the Message tab when you are composing an email, and it is part of Microsoft 365. It only works inside the message body, though: it will not fill the subject line, the To field, or a search box, and it is not available in every Outlook build. A system-wide dictation app like BlabbyAI types into whichever field your cursor is in, so the same shortcut works in the subject line, in a calendar invite, and in every other app you use.
The most common reasons are the build and the licence. Dictate ships with Microsoft 365 subscriptions, so perpetual builds such as Office 2019 or Office 2021 often do not have it, and it can also be hidden by a customised ribbon or turned off by an administrator. Classic Outlook, new Outlook and Outlook on the web each expose it differently too. Rather than hunting for the button, you can press a shortcut instead: Windows Voice Typing is Win+H on any Windows 11 PC, and BlabbyAI is Ctrl+Space, and neither depends on your Office licence.
Click into the message body so the cursor is blinking there, start your dictation tool, and speak the email. With BlabbyAI you press Ctrl+Space, say the message, then press Ctrl+Space again and the text is typed into the compose box with punctuation already applied. With the built-in Windows option you press Win+H instead. In both cases you read the draft and press Send yourself, because dictation writes text and does not send mail.
Yes. Outlook on the web runs in Chrome, and the new Outlook for Windows is a desktop app, so both are ordinary text fields as far as dictation is concerned. That is why a system-wide tool is useful here: BlabbyAI on Windows types into the classic desktop client, the new Outlook app, and Outlook in a browser tab, and the BlabbyAI Chrome extension covers Outlook on the web on any machine, including a Mac or a Chromebook that cannot run a Windows app at all.
Outlook can, if auto-punctuation is switched on in the Dictate settings, and otherwise you speak the punctuation aloud. BlabbyAI punctuates and capitalises every dictation by default, using the sense of the sentence rather than a spoken keyword, so you talk normally and get a formatted paragraph. You can also run a custom mode over the result, for example one that turns a rambling spoken thought into a short professional email, or one that always signs off the way you do.
No. Because dictation types into the focused text field, BlabbyAI needs no Outlook add-in, no COM plugin and no entry in your tenant app catalogue. That matters on a managed work laptop, where installing an Outlook add-in usually means filing a request with IT. The Windows app and the Chrome extension both work without touching Outlook itself.
Everything you need to know about BlabbyAI
You press a shortcut (Ctrl+Space by default), speak, and press it again to stop. The recording goes through OpenAI's Whisper v3 Turbo model, and the text is typed into whatever field your cursor was in. That works in any app on Windows with a text field.
